the ships, the lion tamer & the north wind

i had a dream we were on the desert planes... the grass was pale green and dry....a giant lion tangled with a man. i was in worry of being gobbled myself.... then a voice said. "look again, the man is just distracting the lion.. you are safe... and they are only playing..." i looked again to see them rolling about on the grass like puppy & boy.

its just like the north wind.... things are not always as they seem? i have seen her sink ships with her left arm, and hold children in her right... her hair brambles as her hand divides... but what if what we think is dividing... is really not dividing at all?

speaking of ships... i have been pondering them again.
and lo if the north wind didnt blow one right straight
into the magic charity shop for me today.
...eye on the sparrow and all that.

ps. when i was on the bus on the way there..
i saw a giant ship in a window in camelot court...
i thought id like to find one myself... isnt that strange?

Dream interpretation: There is a lack of love in some area (i.e. desert, green is heart chakra) due to a MIS-PERCEPTION of thought conflicting with intuition on the matter. Subconsciously, there are impulses which make aware that these thoughts, opinions, ideas, beliefs actually flow from intuition and that all is well!

your room is so beautiful; it looks like such a fairytale, oh my and the painting on your wall. my aunt and uncle have little ships around there house and when i was little i used to play with them delicately. your dream sounds so whimsical. i don't often remember my dreams which is a little sad but i make up for it with day dreaming. but i wish we could have a silver key to open a door which would take you into your dreams. much love, samantha ♥

Do you find the faeries, or do the faeries find you? Perhaps it's both, because you live such a magical life. I'm looking around my room, and I think it can do with a boat, and a tree, and an owl. Although, I do have a crow, a frog with an umbrella, and the moon. So I'm not completely hopeless ;).

Most of the time, my dreams can be pretty pointless and stupid. But sometimes, I dream such wonders that I must write them down to preserve them. I think my favorite was one I had years ago just after my father passed. I was riding an elephant across India looking for a place to spread his ashes, and I came upon a tree that was once great and beautiful but was now dying. It was white as ash and brittle with no leaves. Somehow I felt that this was the place, so I opened the urn and the ashes flew up into the branches and became beautiful green leaves. The tree grew brilliant with life again and became the wonder of the world.

I think so, too. Maybe I'll find it again someday and build a swing to hang from one of the branches :).

I love little ships... in a lot of churches in Brittany (and maybe in all coastal places for all I know) often there will be small ships hanging from the ceiling that sailors made as offerings of thanks for not being shipwrecked. Your one looks lovely sailing past your little tree and over the house. Which also makes me think of a fairy story I heard once from someone from Cape Breton about priests who were inside a church having mass when something landed on their roof. When they went outside they looked up and saw it was an anchor coming from a boat which was passing much further over their heads. Then a man came swimming down through the air to unhook their anchor which had gotten snagged on the church. He fixed it, swam away and the boat left, and that's the whole story, but I always thought it showed a beautiful way of thinking about the world.
But now this comment is much too long! Enjoy your new find.

oh i will never forget that story now!
that is the kind of image that stamps on
your heart and never lets go. ♥
i can see the wood on the bottom of the boat
and the man swimming.. and the silly dumbfounded look on the priests faces.... they believe in miracles... and yet.. i bet they found this harder to believe than anything.... oh believers...
do you believe in old magics that you never saw?
do you believe in new magics that happened
right before your eyes? are they both as likely?

beautiful thoughts and beautiful pictures. Birds and wind are to me the ultimate - freedom.

and that's what dreams are too, a place to be free, without the constraints of the physical world.

your blog is so magical and your room looks so peaceful ♥

Your house is charming.

Hello again,

I've thought it over and my answers are yes, yes, yes. Though I think the first would be easier to believe, though I can't say why.

I LOVE YOUR ROOM :o

and you seem to have incredible knitting skills. I especially like the little alice gloves. I lack skill in the knitting department but I think it's really creative and useful to be able to knit so well. Very Lovely Blog :D
