swallow & owl feathers

i have been completely and utterly swallowed by my book!
im trapped in the belly of the mama whale.
i have bought some white carnations
they are sitting on my writing desk.
my book wakes me up at night
like a screaming baby. i am
on schedule though with
25,000 words. ♥

thanks for everyone who wished me well with
nanowrimo! i am still punching it in the face!

also. these are my owls. they are each the size
of a loaf of bread! i bought them at a thrift
store in wisconsin and then painted them
with pearl paint so they glowed. thats
the trick with brown owls. you can
just paint them pearly white and
they dont mind ♥

how nice to be utterly enthralled and in the grip of something so important, i hope the words keep spilling forth so readily, (did i say that already?).

i like your pearly owls very much.

you're perfectly safe in the belly of the mama whale.
it's the monster ones you need to look out for..

im sure your brown owls are thrilled with their makeover now you can all see each other in the dark

ooohhh keep writing... I like how you say it wakes you in the night like a screaming baby (!) that is how it is meant to be I think - all consuming. Pretty owls, you find the best things, but best of all you customise them. love and frost. x

oh, i know how it feels to be taken up by a story. my books eat me.
i would love to read your novel; you write so beautifully on your blog so i think you'd be awfully good at story-writing

and your owls look like the colour of dawn in that picture. they are so lovely.

Oh, good luck, good luck, good luck, on finishing your novel! I really hope everything goes well. But you seem to be doing just fine so far :)
Your owls are wonderful. I bet they don't mind being painted pearly white like this, because they know how much more pretty they are. I guess, they are a little vain :)
Have a nice day!

Love the line:
"my book wakes me up at night like a screaming baby."

That's how I can tell it's going to be awesome.

Best of luck with the book! Well not that there's much "luck" involved in writing :) I planned to do nanowrimo this year, but my story isn't quite ready to come out yet...
