petals & mist

i listened to evi vine in the car today.
by the end of song one i had turned
into a fairy. mint green skin and
magnolias for hair, my right wing
trailed out the window as i drove.
by the end of song four i found
myself transported. my fingers
disappeared and up my arms
until i was only petals & mist.


yes i know that is not very
good when you are driving.

im on my way to grimm's cottage now but if i dont make it there,

forget-me-not and ships & seaside

lets wander the wild gardens after tea ♥

we will run through the labyrinths and trees ♥

we will hunt snowdrops until the sun goes down,

and wait for the cricket chorus to begin ♥

we have ships to count,

and beehive secrets to keep.

wool to spin,

and ponies to name.

and then when we are finally at home,

we will dream in striped linen,

and hang wreaths of blue roses on our cottage door ♥

i have been busy ♥ writing lots of patterns.

also the studio doors have been swinging and the mixing
of our first snowbird record is almost complete. ♥

free rapunzel!

i started a campaign to free rapunzel from her tower.

i braided wool.. plait by plait... up to her window.

but when i reached the top and peeked in,

she was asleep... and with a little white cat on her lap.

she looked so peaceful and content,

that i climbed back down and left her there.

we are searching for starwhales

shhhhh they like whispering ♥ and soft purring. but you must wait.

they will attend to each petal. but only one at a time. that is best.

too many and it all gets in a rush... we must protect our hearts from being too busy... that makes them rush... then they dont work as well. they need time to breathe in the cold air that comes off of the snow.

today i am taking time to do things slowly. like watch for starwhales.

from now we will only do these things one stitch at a time ♥

wrapped in white dresses

we are tucking down into the down down feather nest today.

it is so cold the wind blows through the barn & up to the attic.

i found some little white kittens in a nice pot for my bone hooks.

they keep an eye on things. they want me to knit mice. only mice!

we only will work with cotton though so the lambs stay warm.

still we climb stairs up to the attic. so high we can see chimneys.

dust dust white dust snow. we hide & stay wrapped in white dresses.

sweet robins & baby lambs

little cranky lambs! it must be nap & apple time!

ive been knitting lots of wrist-ees.

in my new magic attic!

thats right we moved ♥ and were finally all settled in

turns out... there is a magic attic! ♥

ive set it all up so its half music studio & half knitting studio

all of the wool muffles the sound which is good for recording.
